As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting and leading the design of products and systems. With your clear understanding of risk and your pragmatic approach to risk management, you will contribute to effective and efficient testing and validation. Your expertise will ensure the optimal selection of technology, materials, and production methods to deliver exceptional products. With your technical plans you will enrich the project team during prototyping and manufacturing and drive the creation of innovative solutions with a "Value Driven Design" mindset.

About you

• A Value Driven Design Mindset is key: maintaining value from the very beginning of the design until the very end should be core to your way of working. 

• We are looking from someone who brings strong background in the mechanical design, having a good understanding of the creative and technical process of engineering mechanical parts, components, products and systems and more specific your experience in the context of kinematics, metal fabrication and structural loading. 

• You demonstrate a practical approach to risk management during prototyping and validation, however you also have a solid understanding of the scientific principles of physics, materials science, thermodynamics and knowledge of manufacturing or production methods to create and maximise a value driven outcome.

• You are familiar with the use of CAD tools ( Solidworks) to design and develop concepts from  prototyping all the way up to production quality. FEA allows you to pin point what is critical and how to set up a simulation model to analyse it.
